French-Haitian singer Joé Dwèt Filé has been announced as one of the nominees for the 25th edition of the BET Awards, published on May 8, 2025. The winners will be crowned during a live ceremony on June 9, 2025, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California.
The 30-year-old singer-songwriter, whose real name is Joé Gilles, received a nomination in the BET Awards’ “Best International Act” category, which honors outstanding achievements by international artists worldwide.
Joé Dwèt Filé will compete in the “Best International Act” category alongside Tyla (South Africa), Any Gabrielly (Brazil), Mc Luanna (Brazil), Uncle Waffles (Eswatini), SDM (France), Black Sherif (Ghana), Ayra Starr (Nigeria), Rema (Nigeria), Bashy (United Kingdom), and Ezra Collective (United Kingdom).
In France, Joé Dwèt Filé has also earned four nominations at the 2025 Flammes Awards: “Song of the Year” and “Caribbean or Caribbean-Inspired Song” for 4 Kampé, “R&B Song of the Year” for Merci à mon ex, and “Male Artist of the Year.” The Flammes Awards will be held on Tuesday, May 13, in Paris.
